Janette Ireland

The Difference Between Try and Triumph is Just a Little UMPH!
Hi, I’m Janette, I don’t like to think how old I am, age is just a number right and I hate the thought of getting old, so we will pass over that.
I have 3 grown up children, Tasha, who some of you have met at Dance4Ever classes, is my youngest and I have two sons, Mark and James.
I also have two lovely cocker spaniels, one is my baby, she’s 8 months old and into everything a very loving but demanding little girl !!!
Unlike lots of the articles I have read in the Dance4Ever new letter I didn’t really have any special goal I was trying to achieve when I started coming to Sveta’s classes.
I wasn’t looking to get fit or loose weight, although I do hanker, unrealistically, for the body I had in my early twenties.
I already attended two gyms, one near the office and one near home and had done competitive sport and physical exercise all my life.
It was just that I love dancing (even if I’m not very good at it) and I was told that Sveta’s classes were very good at challenging the normally quite tame Zumba classes you get at the gym.
That was definitely for me, I love to challenge me, always highly competitive by nature here was an opportunity to push me, I was my own competition and this sounded like an opportunity to have fun at the same time.
So one Thursday night I turned up at Deepcut for Zumba with Sveta.
I already knew her, she was my Guerlain rep at the time, but she greeted me all bubbly and enthusiastic, every one of you who has been greeted by Sveta on your first class will know exactly what I mean.
That enthusiasm is contagious and has never waned all the time I’ve known her.
I think it’s one of the reasons why her students come back month after month.
So here I am some years later, I still go to the gym but it fits around my dance classes now, I attend 4 classes a week, 2 Zumba, Zumba toning and Fit steps and any workshops and dance events Sveta arranges at the weekends.
I’d attend more if I wasn’t working full time, I’ve definitely got the bug.
Sveta always varies the routines we do which is great, not just for the variety but because it stops the muscles getting lazy and complacent and of course it keeps our brains working just to keep up!!!
My Mum and sister think I’m mad and do too much exercise, they should know me by now, it won’t stop me doing something I love doing and which I know is doing me good.
My husband just laughs and lets me get on with it, he says I have a square arse so probably figures I’d be driving him mad at home looking for jobs to do if I wasn’t burning all that energy at classes.
Sveta has done an amazing job building up her business, she is such a kind and fun person that people will always naturally gravitate to her. She has so much time and patience with people it makes a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all of her students, they are all so friendly, working out is always fun and we can all work at our own level.
I believe that the classes haven’t just helped me stay fit, they have kept me young at heart and happy. Dance definitely has that effect on me and I would recommend anyone who loves dancing, no matter their level of fitness, and wants a good workout to come to Dance4Ever, they won’t look back.
 Thanks Sveta.
