Running shoes are not suitable for Zumba as they have too much tread underneath and are designed primarily for forward propulsion, so they restrict side-to-side movement. The danger is during energetic turns the tread might stick to the floor and you could pop your knee.
Some cross-training shoes are appropriate, however be aware of the amount of tread on the shoe. A good sports store should be able to advise.
