IMG_0733 I am not going to start at the beginning,it was so long ago,and there is too much I do not want to remember!
Everyone’s life has it’s ups and downs, mine I would liken to a ride on a roller coaster.
I have had some amazing ups but some dreadful downs. Not a ride I would like to try again.
The sixties were my happiest times. My three children were all born between 1960 and 1966.
I really enjoyed my time with them.
The 70s thing went downhill one thing after another.I ended up with a long period of depressive illness which took a long time to recover from.
I am now a grumpy old lady full of aches and pains. The pains are genuine as I have suffered from arthritis since my mid forties. The condition is now severe. I think my husband will confirm I am grumpy!
About six years ago I took up swimming. Mostly for classes of work outs. It is easier to move in water if you are in pain. As neither of us drive anymore it means using the bus quite frequently.
I think it is safe to say the bus stop has become the centre of my social life now. It was there that I met Beryl. I told her I was off to the swimming pool. Beryl suggested I give Zumba a try.
I went to the community centre the next week and had my first class. After 45 minutes not only was my taught neck and shoulders loose and relaxed so was my mind! I felt almost peaceful.
I am sure all those endorphins and the music played their part, but for me I think the main ingredient was the wonderful smile and warmth of our instructor Sveta! I think we would all like to take her home with us.

Thank you Sveta, you are worth your weight in gold.

Sue.
